# COSMIC Database

## Overview

COSMIC (Catalogue of Somatic Mutations in Cancer) is the world's largest and most comprehensive database for exploring somatic mutations in human cancer. ## Working with COSMIC Data

### Genome Assemblies
COSMIC provides data for two reference genomes:
